Our mission is to level the playing field for independent publishers by harnessing the power of shared resources, cutting-edge systems, and a collaborative team of passionate book lovers. By tearing down silos, building professional networks, and pooling everything from warehousing to distribution through Simon & Schuster, we aim to elevate and amplify diverse voices across our collective catalogues, categories, and genres.

A New Generation in Publishing

The Stable Book Group is ushering in a new strategy for book publishing by combining creativity and technology to build a collective of independent presses that can transform the way books are crafted, sold, and read.

Chris Gruener

Chris Gruener previously served as Vice President of Business Development at Abrams Books and as CEO and Publisher at Cameron + Company, where he successfully led the company through its acquisition by Abrams in 2020. He also brings valuable expertise as an advisor at Tra Publishing. Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University.

Keith Riegert

Keith Riegert is the CEO of Perfect Bound and Ulysses Press. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and is a member of the Board of Advisors and an adjunct professor at NYU’s Masters of Publishing Program. Keith holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from UCSB and earned his MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.

Brooke Warner

Brooke Warner is a 25-year publishing veteran and the publisher and co-founder of She Writes Press. She is the former Executive Editor of Seal Press, and a podcast host, TEDx speaker, and an active board member of the Bay Area Book Festival and the National Association of Memoir Writers. Brooke earned her BA from The George Washington University and holds a Master’s degree from San Francisco State University.

Sam Lundin

Sam Lundin is the founder and CEO of the Vimbly Group, a company that has garnered attention in both print and television media, including features on Fox News, Bloomberg, CBS, and Business Insider. Prior to founding Vimbly, Sam was a tech investor at Perry Capital and a tech M&A investment banker at Lazard. He graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics & Management.

Chris Yeung

Chris Yeung is the founder of the Vimbly Group and CTO of Perfect Bound, bringing a wealth of experience in technology and analytics to his leadership roles. He previously served as Vice President of Portfolio Analytics at BlackRock and as an Equity Derivatives Strategist at Goldman Sachs. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
